Bell Canyon Creek, Utah

I was going through some old photos from an old hard drive and found this little gem. One of my favorite things to do is take a bunch of photos, put them in a folder and forget about them. That way when I go back to them i've got a fresh look at them and a slightly different eye. I came across this photo last night as I was looking through folders and folders of images. This hadn't seen photoshop and needed just a little color correction. Did some quick editing and here it is. This was taken June 2010 up Bell Canyon in Sandy.

Tyler & Jill Engaged :: Utah Wedding Photographer

I love it when the location choice for an engagement session provides endless options for photographs. This was one of those locations. I had a great time working with Tyler and Jill and an even better time editing their photos. I love seeing couples in love and that have fun together. Stay posted for their bridal and wedding photos coming next month.

Casey & Alayna Engaged :: Utah Wedding Photographer

It's been awhile since I have had a chance to post new photos on here, i've been busy with editing, and school. I have had some amazing couples to work with recently. Casey and Alayna were great to work with. They are from Reno, and it's been so good to work with couples outside of Utah. Location was awesome, lighting was perfect and the photos turned out exactly as I hoped. Since being married it's been great having my wife at shoots to help me with little things that help make the shoot a success.

Jenna Senior Photos :: Utah Wedding Photographer

Park City has easily become one of my favorite places to photograph. There are endless possibilities there. I had a great opportunity to do more work with the family from Texas, of whom I did engagements for a few weeks ago. Jenna is starting her senior year of high school in Texas, and my wife and I had a great time shooting these photos for her.

Wyoming... Greys River... Tetons...

I've just returned from a long trip to Wyoming. Every year I spend a week up there camping on a river called Greys River. One of the most beautiful places on earth. A few miles up the road and you feel completely separated from the rest of the world, and the amount of stars in the sky is absolutely amazing. During the week my wife and I made a trip to Jackson hole and made a drive out to see the Tetons. That mountain range is easily one of the most amazing places. One of the photos below is of a three toed spotted wood pecker. We took a drive up Greys River road several miles and hiked into a lake called, Lake Barstow. The wood pecker was busy feeding young chicks in it's hole. If you look closely enough you can see worms and bugs in the peckers mouth. Enjoy!

Colby & Mallory Engagements :: Utah Wedding Photographer

I have to say that I have been given some amazing opportunities recently as a photographer. I've been able to do more sports photography, photo journalism type work, and other great opportunities to photograph people from out of state, like this couple. Mallory and Colby are from Texas and both graduated from Texas A&M. It's too hot in Houston right now, so they made the trip to Utah to have their engagement photos taken. I love the way these photos turned out, they look so happy and I had such a great time working with them. Congrats to you two.

Jon & Bailey Wedding Day :: Utah Wedding Photographer

I met this couple at the Provo Bridal Fair that I did back in February. Their wedding day turned out beautiful. It was great to work with them and I am happy with the way the photos turned out.

Colby & Mallory Engagement Preview :: Utah Wedding Photographer

There are those times as a photographer that you just know that you've captured some great moments during a session. Today was one of those days. I spent the day in Park City with a couple from Houston. Reason for engagements in Park City? Too hot in Texas, and what better place than the mountains of Utah. Many more from today to come in a later post.

Aaron & Laurel Engagements :: Utah Wedding Photographer

With all of the rain this season getting a good day, and a sunny day for photos has been hard. However with all of the rain, you can't complain about the beauty of the mountains. Everything is so green. These engagement photos were a lot fun. Aaron is a really good friend of mine. We served as mission companions for only three weeks, but spent a great deal of time around each other in New England. He is a amazing person and comes from a great family. Im so happy for he and Laurel and wish them the very best in their life together. Enjoy the photos.

Utah Wedding Photographer :: Aaron & Laurel Engagement Preview

I have been quite busy with photos recently and wanted to get this little preview up for all to see. The summer weather in the mountains makes this photographer very happy, especially when I get to photograph a couple like this couple. More to come.
