Provo Tabernacle

This evening I took an hour and tried to capture some photos of the Provo Tabernacle and the damage the fire did to the historic building several days ago. The area has been fenced off and with the snow it and the access to the building obviously not being very good I did the best I could to capture a photo or two of the tabernacle. Getting a photo without tents, fences and construction equipment of the whole building was near impossible.
I wanted to take the photo at night in hopes to try and capture the mood of the tabernacle and how incredible sad it is to see such an amazingly historic part of Provo now destroyed. I can see how the above photo can come across dark and kinda creepy, which was not the goal. The goal was to show devastation of losing such an amazing building.

On a completely different note... I am going to take a minute and explain some changes that I have felt are crucial to my business and to make it easier for people to hire me for photography. Making Captured By Dash Photography what it is today has not been an easy road. I have spent hours and hours of hard to work to be where I am today and I am so grateful for everything that has taken place so far. the weddings and couples i've been able to work with have been awesome and I am so grateful that they chose me to be their photographer. With that in mind, I have made some changes to the pricing of my wedding photography. I now am offering two wedding packages, which I feel cater to the most basic needs of any wedding it the photography that takes place for a wedding. I still feel that the prices I offer are some of the most affordable for what I offer. I have raised my prices, but have offered several options in hopes to make it easier for brides to decide whether to have me as their photographer. I am working towards being a vendor at an upcoming bridal show. It takes a lot of hard work to find clients and so I am always looking for other ways to provide my art for as many people as I can. I am so grateful for the people who have helped me get to where I am today. Please take some time to view the several posts on my blog here and to visit my website, Captured By Dash. Thank you. Wish everyone a Happy and Merry Christmas!
